A leading Learning Difficulties Centre in Dubai is looking for a Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary clinical team on a part-time basis. This opportunity is ideal for pediatric occupational therapists with experience working in ABA therapy environments, sensory integration programs, and child development settings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children with developmental delays, learning difficulties, sensory processing challenges, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, and other special educational needs through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Clinical ABA Supervisors, ABA Therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and parents to ensure effective, child-centered care and measurable developmental progress.
Job Responsibilities
Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assessments
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, screenings, and evaluations for children with developmental and learning challenges.
- Prepare detailed clinical reports, therapy recommendations, progress summaries, and treatment plans.
- Assess sensory processing, fine motor skills, gross motor development, self-care abilities, handwriting skills, attention, and functional independence.
Individualized Therapy Programs
- Design and implement structured, individualized occupational therapy intervention programs tailored to each child’s developmental goals.
- Utilize evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy techniques and sensory integration approaches to support child development.
- Provide therapeutic activities that improve sensory regulation, motor coordination, cognitive functioning, daily living skills, and social participation.
Collaboration with ABA & Clinical Teams
- Work collaboratively with ABA Supervisors, ABA Therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
- Support consistency in behavioral and therapeutic strategies across therapy sessions.
- Train and guide ABA therapists on occupational therapy techniques and sensory strategies for effective implementation.
Parent Communication & Progress Monitoring
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding therapy goals, progress updates, home programs, and developmental recommendations.
- Provide guidance to families on sensory integration activities, behavioral support, and functional skill development at home.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including therapy notes, progress reports, assessments, timesheets, and clinical records.
- Collect and analyze therapy data to monitor child progress and treatment effectiveness.
- Ensure all documentation complies with DHA regulations, clinical standards, and quality assurance requirements.
Clinical & Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, workshops, staff training, and professional development activities.
- Support administrative and operational tasks when required.
- Follow all infection control, patient safety, safeguarding, confidentiality, and quality improvement procedures.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the learning difficulties center.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduation occupational therapy experience in pediatric or clinical settings
- DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter is mandatory
- Licensed or registered Occupational Therapist in country of origin
- First Aid Training certification is preferred
- Strong background in pediatric occupational therapy and child development
- Experience working within ABA therapy environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Sensory Integration Therapy approaches is a major advantage

- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Arabic language skills are an added advantage
- Strong report writing and clinical documentation abilities
- Excellent observation, assessment, and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of sensory processing disorders and developmental delays
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
