A leading hospital in Dubai is seeking a Physical Therapist / Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and treating patients with physical impairments, mobility limitations, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, and sports-related injuries.
The Physical Therapist will deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatments according to physician recommendations, hospital clinical protocols, and internationally recognized physiotherapy standards, including guidelines from the American Physical Therapy Association.
This role requires strong clinical expertise, patient care excellence, critical thinking abilities, and compliance with hospital quality, safety, infection control, and rehabilitation standards.
Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Rehabilitation
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, follow-up evaluations, and patient re-assessments.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on patient diagnosis, mobility limitations, pain level, and rehabilitation goals.
- Assess patients’ musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and functional conditions.
- Perform detailed evaluations including:
- Range of Motion (ROM)
- Manual Muscle Testing (MMT)
- Pain assessment scales (VAS/FLACC)
- Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)
- Vital signs monitoring (BP, HR, RR, SPO2)
- Functional mobility assessments
- Fall risk assessments
- Coordination and gait evaluations
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically required.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding rehabilitation exercises, posture correction, injury prevention, and recovery goals.

- Post-operative Physiotherapy
- Sports Injury Rehabilitation
- Pain Management Therapy
The therapist must ensure proper treatment frequency, duration, device settings, and patient safety throughout all physiotherapy sessions.
Clinical Quality & Patient Safety
- Ensure compliance with hospital clinical policies, physiotherapy protocols, and infection prevention procedures.
- Follow international patient care standards and evidence-based physiotherapy practices.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, equipment safety, and rehabilitation quality.
- Report patient incidents, service concerns, or safety issues through the proper reporting chain.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives and physiotherapy department projects.
- Assist in reviewing and updating physiotherapy clinical procedures and treatment protocols.
- Support hospital accreditation standards and rehabilitation best practices.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Work closely with physicians, consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation specialists.
- Provide mentorship and clinical support to junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and student interns.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff development programs, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Act as a clinical resource for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Equipment & Inventory Management
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and calibration of physiotherapy equipment.
- Conduct daily and monthly inventory checks for physiotherapy devices and medical supplies.
- Coordinate equipment servicing and repairs with biomedical engineering teams.
- Maintain availability and safe storage of physiotherapy tools and rehabilitation equipment.
- Monitor medical supply usage and report shortages, damages, or expired items.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy
- Valid Physiotherapy License from country of origin
- DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter preferred in the UAE
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Physiotherapist or Physical Therapist
- Hospital or rehabilitation center experience preferred
- Experience in orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, or sports rehabilitation is an advantage
