Job Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals.
- Improve patient independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
- Perform seating, mobility, and functional assessments.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations and professional standards.
- Apply clinical governance, patient safety, and risk management principles in daily practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- 2–4 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of assistive devices, seating assessments, and functional rehabilitation.
- Eligibility for or possession of UAE MOH professional registration/licensure is preferred.
