Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Therapy Planning
- Conduct sensory-based assessments and evaluate motor, cognitive, and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills
- Develop individualized therapy plans using sensory integration and neurodiversity-affirming approaches
- Apply strength-based therapy techniques to improve patient independence and executive functioning
Patient Care & Rehabilitation
- Deliver occupational therapy sessions focused on sensory regulation, not compliance-based models
- Support children with developmental conditions using evidence-based therapy protocols
- Ensure safe and effective therapy aligned with clinical quality assurance standards
Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Work
- Work in co-therapy models alongside Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs)
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and healthcare teams to improve therapy outcomes
- Participate in Individualized Care Plan (ICP) meetings and case discussions
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records, therapy reports, and clinical documentation
- Follow internal protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare quality and safety standards
Training & Development
- Contribute to parent training programs, webinars, and therapy workshops
- Support development of online therapy resources and educational content
- Participate in continuous learning programs on neurodiversity and sensory integration therapy
Job Requirements
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- DHA License (Dubai Health Authority) – Mandatory
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (preferred)
- Experience in pediatric therapy, sensory integration, or neurodiversity care is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of sensory integration therapy and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Willingness to learn neurodiversity-affirming practices
Preferred Skills
