Medical Consultant is looking for a Pediatric Speech Therapist in Dubai, UAE to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based speech and language therapy to children experiencing communication, speech, language, developmental, and feeding difficulties.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced pediatric Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about early intervention, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental language disorders, play-based therapy, and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding assessments for pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on each child’s developmental needs, clinical assessment, and functional goals.
- Provide evidence-based intervention for children with speech delays, language delays, communication difficulties, articulation disorders, and developmental disorders.
- Deliver early intervention services for infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental and communication delays.
- Assess and provide therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Use play-based, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate therapy techniques to encourage participation and improve communication skills.
- Support children with receptive and expressive language difficulties, social communication challenges, and speech sound disorders.
- Assess and manage appropriate pediatric feeding and swallowing difficulties within the therapist’s scope of practice.
- Develop individualized goals and regularly monitor children’s clinical progress.
- Provide parent and caregiver education, coaching, and practical strategies to support communication and language development at home.
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, behavioral therapists, pediatricians, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, assessment reports, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding assessment findings, treatment goals, progress, and recommendations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to coordinated patient care.
- Stay current with evidence-based pediatric speech and language therapy practices, assessment tools, and intervention approaches.
- Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable Dubai healthcare regulations, clinical policies, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications – Medical Consultant -Pediatric Speech Therapist
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Pathology, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant pediatric speech therapy experience.
- Strong hands-on experience working with children with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Developmental language disorders
- Speech and language delays
- Communication disorders
- Speech sound and articulation difficulties
- Social communication difficulties
- Feeding and swallowing challenges
- Demonstrated experience in early intervention and pediatric therapy.
- Experience using play-based and child-centered therapy approaches.
- Experience providing parent coaching and caregiver education.
- DHA eligibility is preferred, or candidates should be willing to obtain the required professional license/eligibility to practice in Dubai.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare environment.
