Key Responsibilities
- Assess students with special educational needs and develop individualized learning plans (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction and learning support to students with diverse educational requirements.
- Implement evidence-based SEN teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to adapt lesson plans and learning materials.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and school counselors to support student development.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence, independence, and academic success.
- Assist in identifying students requiring additional educational support.
- Participate in parent meetings, staff training sessions, and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and inclusive education best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or B.Ed. in Special Education (Mandatory).
- Professional certification in Special Education will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Special Educator or in a similar Special Educational Needs (SEN) role.
- Experience working in schools following international curricula is preferred.
