Environmental Microbiologist to join our Environmental Consultant Company in Dubai. This role is ideal for a microbiology professional who is curious about microorganisms, indoor environments, microbial contamination, mould and indoor air quality.Environmental Microbiologist will apply microbiological knowledge beyond the traditional laboratory environment by conducting environmental impact study inspections, collecting samples, interpreting laboratory results and communicating technical findings to clients and internal teams.

You may have experience in microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, air or surface sampling, laboratory analysis, environmental inspection, mould investigation or indoor air quality assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct microbiological and environmental inspections across residential, commercial and other indoor environments.
  • Perform air, surface and other environmental sampling according to established procedures.
  • Analyse and interpret microbiological findings and laboratory test results.
  • Identify potential areas of concern related to microbial contamination, mould and indoor environmental conditions.
  • Support investigations involving indoor air quality, microbial contamination and mould.
  • Prepare accurate technical reports detailing findings, observations and recommendations.
  • Communicate inspection results and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Work closely with the Indoor Science and Operations teams to ensure inspections, sampling and reporting meet professional and scientific standards.
  • Maintain accurate sampling records, inspection documentation and related technical records.
  • Follow applicable health, safety and quality procedures during field inspections.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of microbiology, environmental monitoring and indoor science practices

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Microbiology, Environmental Science or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant microbiological or environmental investigation experience preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of microbiological testing and environmental sampling.
  • Experience with air, surface or environmental sampling is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of mould, microbial contamination or indoor air quality is an advantage.
  • Strong observation, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in the field and travel to client locations.
  • Valid UAE driving license required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
