Speech Therapist wanted at a leading Medical rehab Team in Dubai, UAE for children. Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering effective therapy sessions. The role involves working in a collaborative environment with parents, teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for every child.
The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children in healthcare, rehabilitation, or educational settings.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for children.
- Identify speech, language, communication, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions tailored to each child’s needs.
- Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions to improve communication and social interaction.
- Monitor therapy progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, therapy notes, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with parents to provide home-based therapy strategies and guidance.
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to support children’s educational goals.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and pediatric specialists.
- Utilize sensory rooms, communication tools, and therapeutic equipment effectively during treatment sessions.
- Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Educate caregivers on communication development and intervention techniques.
- Conduct awareness programs, workshops, and community outreach initiatives for parents, teachers, and caregivers.
- Stay updated with current speech therapy techniques through continuing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
Job Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related healthcare discipline.
- Valid UAE License to practice as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Strong clinical knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and counselling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Experience – Speech Therapist
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing speech and language therapy services to children.
- Candidates with up to 8 years of relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, therapy clinics, or educational institutions is highly preferred.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary pediatric care environments is considered an advantage.
