Schhol Speech Therapist (Speech-Language Pathologist) wanted at a leading shool based therpay entre in Dubai, UAE. School Speech Therapistto assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. The ideal candidate will develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based therapy techniques, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to improve patients’ communication abilities and overall quality of life.

The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and a patient-centered approach while maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessment tools and clinical observations.
• Evaluate patients of different age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based clinical practices.
• Provide speech and language therapy for patients with developmental delays, articulation disorders, language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, neurological disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and other communication impairments.
• Deliver therapy sessions focused on improving speech clarity, expressive and receptive language skills, social communication, cognitive communication, voice quality, fluency, and swallowing function.
• Monitor patient progress through regular reassessments and modify treatment plans according to clinical outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques to support continued progress outside therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, educators, nurses, audiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment records, progress reports, discharge summaries, and patient outcome measures in accordance with organizational policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality requirements, infection prevention protocols, and clinical governance standards.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and remain updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, departmental audits, and continuing professional development activities.
• Supervise therapy assistants, students, or junior staff when required.
• Promote patient safety, dignity, and ethical clinical practice at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure to practice as a Speech Therapist in the UAE.
• Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or an equivalent internationally recognized professional body is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, private clinics, or multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
• Experience working with pediatric and/or adult patients is highly desirable.
• DHA, MOH, or DOH eligibility or active license is an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional certification and licensing.
• 2–8 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, pediatric therapy, or outpatient services is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates (English and Arabic or other regional languages) will have an added advantage in serving diverse patient populations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
