Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department wanted at a leading Healthcare services company in Sharjah, UAE. Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, timely, and patient-centred emergency nursing care. The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of Emergency Department experience, strong clinical decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities – Registered Nurse (RN)
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care, including patient assessment, triage, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide timely and safe nursing interventions in accordance with evidence-based emergency care guidelines and clinical pathways.
- Assess patients’ conditions, identify urgent and critical cases, and prioritize care according to emergency department protocols.
- Administer prescribed medications safely and monitor patients for treatment response and adverse reactions.
- Operate and manage emergency medical equipment appropriately while maintaining patient safety.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and support emergency procedures as required.
- Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Promptly escalate deteriorating or critical patient conditions to the appropriate medical team.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records and nursing documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
- Provide patients and families with appropriate education regarding treatment, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention and control, patient safety, quality assurance, and healthcare regulations.
- Contribute to a safe, professional, and supportive emergency department environment.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and support junior nursing staff and team members when required.
Qualifications – Registered Nurse (RN)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing qualification.
- Valid DOH Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain a DOH nursing license.
- 2–3 years of professional nursing experience in an Emergency Department (ED).
- Proven experience in emergency nursing, triage, patient assessment, and critical care interventions.
- Previous leadership or Team Lead experience is required.
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is an advantage.
- Strong critical-thinking, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure in a high-volume emergency environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Good knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and emergency nursing procedures.
