Physiotherapist to join Rehab healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, injuries, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs. This role requires expertise in manual therapy, rehabilitation planning, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to support recovery and enhance overall physical wellbeing.
The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of clinical physiotherapy experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, medical clinic, or healthcare setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed physical assessments and functional evaluations of patients to identify mobility limitations, pain points, and rehabilitation requirements.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on patient diagnosis, medical history, and recovery goals.
- Apply manual therapy techniques, soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, and therapeutic massage to relieve pain and improve movement.
- Implement rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Prescribe and supervise therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, strengthening programs, and mobility training.
- Utilize physiotherapy modalities such as electrotherapy, ultrasound, TENS, heat/cold therapy, and traction where appropriate.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, posture correction, ergonomics, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and evolving rehabilitation needs.
- Collaborate with doctors, orthopedic specialists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation teams, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment notes, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support and mentor junior physiotherapists, interns, and therapy assistants where required.
- Participate in continuous professional development, training sessions, and stay updated on latest physiotherapy research and treatment advancements.
- Contribute to community health awareness initiatives and promote physiotherapy/rehabilitation services when needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy / Physical Therapy.
- Valid DOH / HAAD / DHA / MOH Physiotherapy License or eligibility to obtain Abu Dhabi licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Physiotherapist in a healthcare, rehabilitation, hospital, or outpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation protocols.
- Experience with manual therapy, exercise therapy, and rehabilitation equipment.
- Excellent understanding of patient assessment, treatment planning, and progress evaluation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Additional language skills (Arabic or other languages) are an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in rehabilitation centers, orthopedic clinics, sports medicine, or hospital physiotherapy departments preferred.
- Strong patient-centered approach with excellent bedside manner.
- Ability to manage diverse patient cases across acute and chronic rehabilitation needs.
- Passion for continuous learning and evidence-based physiotherapy practice.
