Finaancial Trading Industry in Dubai is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Odoo Accountants with strong practical knowledge of accounting operations and Odoo ERP Accounting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end closing, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that accounting transactions are correctly processed through Odoo.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions and financial activities using Odoo ERP.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
- Record, verify, and process invoices, bills, receipts, payments, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Perform regular bank, cash, customer, and supplier reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate General Ledger accounts and investigate unusual or incorrect balances.
- Prepare and review Trial Balance, Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet reports, and other financial reports.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, depreciation, and other accounting adjustments.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on overdue balances.
- Review transactions posted in Odoo and ensure correct account classification and documentation.
- Maintain Odoo accounting journals, payment methods, taxes, payment terms, and accounting workflows.
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and other departments to ensure accurate integration of operational transactions with accounting.
- Reconcile inventory-related accounting entries and support inventory valuation activities when required.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between Odoo records, bank statements, invoices, inventory records, and supporting documents.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with applicable accounting principles, company policies, and UAE tax requirements.
- Maintain complete and organized financial documentation and records within Odoo.
- Prepare management reports and accounting analysis as required.
- Support improvements to accounting processes and identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities through Odoo.
- Assist with Odoo data import/export and Excel-based financial reconciliations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members when required.
- Take ownership of assigned accounting processes and ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time.
Odoo ERP Skills
The successful candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting and a practical understanding of how different Odoo modules interact with financial processes.
Required Odoo knowledge includes:
- Odoo Accounting and Invoicing.

Accounting Skills
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Practical knowledge of AP, AR, General Ledger, bank reconciliation, and financial closing.
- Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Good understanding of accounting controls and audit requirements.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify accounting errors and implement corrective actions.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial reconciliation techniques.
- Knowledge of VAT accounting and tax compliance in the UAE.
- Ability to work with large volumes of accounting transactions while maintaining accuracy.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Master of Commerce, MBA in Finance, or a related postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- 3–8 years of overall accounting experience, with approximately 4–5 years of relevant Odoo Accounting experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP and accounting functions.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
