Odoo ERP Coordinator with practical experience in Odoo/ERP systems company in Sharjah, UAE. The role is suitable for a candidate with approximately 1–5 years of experience, particularly someone who can troubleshoot ERP issues, understand code and server environments, handle minor development tasks, and coordinate effectively with senior developers.
The successful candidate will take day-to-day technical ownership of the ERP system, work closely with users and senior developers, investigate issues, implement straightforward fixes, and ensure ERP changes are properly tested and deployed.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand the existing Odoo ERP architecture, modules, customizations, and business workflows.
- Develop a clear understanding of where functionality is implemented across Python, XML, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Receive ERP requirements from users and convert them into clear technical tasks.
- Investigate ERP bugs by reviewing source code, server logs, databases, and system configurations.
- Identify the likely root cause of technical and functional ERP issues.
- Handle straightforward Odoo development, configuration, debugging, and fixes independently.
- Use AI-assisted coding and development tools, including Codex or similar tools, to improve development and troubleshooting efficiency while validating all generated code.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior developers with clear findings and supporting technical information.
- Test fixes thoroughly and verify that existing ERP functionality is not affected.
- Identify opportunities to improve ERP processes, workflows, and system functionality.
- Perform basic Ubuntu/Linux server operations, including service management, log monitoring, deployments, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Work with Git and follow appropriate development, testing, and production deployment workflows.
- Coordinate daily ERP-related activities and ensure reported issues are followed through to resolution.
- Communicate effectively with ERP users, business teams, and senior developers.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in ERP systems, with practical Odoo experience strongly preferred.
- Candidates with 1–3 years of genuine Odoo development and troubleshooting experience are particularly relevant for this position.
- Practical understanding of Python, PostgreSQL/SQL, XML views, JavaScript, Odoo ORM, models, fields, business logic, modules, APIs, and access rights.
- Working knowledge of Git, Linux/Ubuntu, server logs, services, deployment, and debugging.
- Ability to understand the complete technical flow:
User Problem → ERP Process → Module/Code → Database/Server → Root Cause → Fix/Test → Deploy or Escalate
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve straightforward ERP issues.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand existing code and explain technical findings clearly.
- Comfortable coordinating with senior developers when an issue requires advanced development or architectural changes.

Practical Technical Assessment
