Seeking a Physiotherapist to join a healthcare and sports rehabilitation team in Abu Dhabi. The successful Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, treating, and rehabilitating athletes and patients with musculoskeletal injuries, movement disorders, and physical impairments. This role requires expertise in physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, rehabilitation planning, and emergency medical support during training sessions and sporting events.

The Physiotherapist – Abu Dhabi will work closely with physicians, healthcare professionals, coaches, and management teams to ensure optimal recovery, physical performance, and long-term health outcomes for players and patients.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment and Rehabilitation

  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to evaluate injuries, mobility limitations, and functional impairments.
  • Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
  • Implement evidence-based rehabilitation programs to restore movement, strength, flexibility, and physical function.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve rehabilitation goals.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and corrective movement strategies to improve recovery outcomes.

Medical Records and Documentation

  • Create, maintain, and regularly update detailed medical records for each player or patient.
  • Document current and previous medical reports, treatment plans, rehabilitation progress, and recovery outcomes.
  • Ensure all medical documentation complies with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of patient health information.

Injury Management and Medical Coordination

  • Coordinate directly with treating physicians, orthopedic specialists, and rehabilitation teams regarding patient care plans.
  • Follow up on prescribed treatments, diagnostic procedures, and recovery milestones.
  • Facilitate referrals to specialists, hospitals, and medical centers when required.
  • Assist in the implementation of multidisciplinary treatment approaches for complex cases.

Sports Physiotherapy and Athlete Care

  • Attend training sessions, competitions, and sporting events to provide immediate physiotherapy support.
  • Monitor athletes for injury risks and recommend preventive interventions.
  • Design injury prevention programs focusing on flexibility, strength, conditioning, and biomechanics.
  • Assist athletes in safely returning to training and competition following injury recovery.
  • Conduct functional movement assessments and performance evaluations.

Emergency Medical Support

  • Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical care during training sessions and matches.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to sports-related injuries and medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate emergency transport and communication with hospitals and healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Maintain readiness of emergency response equipment and medical supplies.

Equipment and Facility Management

  • Supervise physiotherapy equipment, rehabilitation tools, and medical devices.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operational readiness of all equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement of necessary medical supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic clinical environment in accordance with healthcare standards.

Medical Examinations and Reporting

  • Organize and conduct periodic medical and physical fitness assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports on patient and athlete medical conditions.
  • Track rehabilitation timelines and provide regular progress updates to management and healthcare teams.
  • Analyze treatment outcomes and recommend improvements to rehabilitation programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or MD in Physiotherapy, Physical Therapy, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from an accredited institution.
  • Valid professional license or registration to practice Physiotherapy in the UAE or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, sports medicine, or healthcare settings.
  • Experience working with athletes, sports teams, orthopedic patients, or rehabilitation clinics is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of musculoskeletal assessment, injury management, and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Knowledge of sports injuries, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and movement science.

  • Advanced manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilization and soft tissue therapy.
