A leading clinical laboratory and diagnostic healthcare facility in Dubai is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join its professional healthcare team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with hands-on UAE laboratory experience who are passionate about laboratory diagnostics, quality assurance, patient safety, and accurate medical testing procedures.

The selected candidate will play a key role in performing laboratory investigations, analyzing patient samples, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring full compliance with international laboratory accreditation standards including JCI and CAP requirements. Key Responsibilities -Medical Laboratory Technologist

  • Independently perform a wide range of laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, and clinical experiments in accordance with approved laboratory protocols and international healthcare standards.
  • Prepare, process, label, and analyze patient specimens including blood, urine, tissue, and other biological samples using standard laboratory techniques.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment to ensure precise and accurate test results.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and ensure laboratory procedures comply with internal quality assurance policies and accreditation standards.
  • Accurately document laboratory findings, test reports, observations, and patient records using laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Interpret laboratory test results and effectively communicate findings to referral doctors, physicians, and healthcare professionals when required.
  • Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety procedures, infection control policies, chemical handling regulations, and biomedical waste management protocols.
  • Follow JCI (Joint Commission International) and CAP (College of American Pathologists) accreditation standards to maintain high-quality laboratory operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of laboratory reagents, consumables, and testing materials while coordinating with procurement when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of laboratory workstations and equipment to support a safe working environment.
  • Assist in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and laboratory accreditation activities.
  • Collaborate with laboratory technicians, pathologists, and healthcare staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting of results.

Job Requirements – MLT

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a UAE-based medical laboratory, diagnostic center, hospital laboratory, or healthcare facility.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, clinical diagnostics, microbiology, hematology, biochemistry, and pathology practices.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Understanding of healthcare safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and laboratory compliance regulations.
  • Experience working under JCI and CAP accredited laboratory environments is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain laboratory findings professionally to medical practitioners.
  • DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter is preferred.
