Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
- Accurate Medication Dispensing: Dispense prescription medications precisely as per physician instructions and in compliance with UAE pharmacy laws and DHA regulations.
- Patient Counseling & Education: Provide professional guidance on medication dosage, usage, drug interactions, contraindications, and possible side effects.
- Prescription Review: Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy, authenticity, and completeness before dispensing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) guidelines and UAE pharmaceutical regulations.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor pharmacy inventory, maintain optimal stock levels, conduct expiry checks, and manage pharmaceutical supplies effectively.
- Storage & Handling: Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines, including temperature-sensitive products, as per regulatory standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, prescription logs, and controlled drug registers in compliance with legal requirements.
- Healthcare Collaboration: Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding patient care by addressing queries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive pharmacy experience.
- Confidentiality & Ethics: Uphold patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality of medical information.
Job Qualifications – DHA Licensed Pharmacist
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory DHA Pharmacist License (active and valid).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a UAE pharmacy setting (retail or hospital pharmacy preferred).
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, drug classifications, and UAE healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
