Job Overview
The Pediatric Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating children with physical, developmental, and neurological conditions. The role requires a compassionate, patient-focused professional who can create customized treatment plans and collaborate with families and healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed physiotherapy assessments, including physical examinations, posture analysis, mobility assessments, and functional evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient-specific goals.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and posture correction techniques.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and modify treatment plans to ensure continuous improvement and effective outcomes.
- Educate parents, caregivers, and families on home exercise programs, therapy techniques, and safety practices to support ongoing rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and patient records in compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and educators, to provide holistic patient care.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Create a child-friendly, engaging, and supportive therapy environment that promotes comfort, motivation, and progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution (Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
- Valid DHA License or eligibility to practice as a Physiotherapist in Dubai (mandatory requirement).
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience, preferably in pediatric, musculoskeletal, or neurological physiotherapy.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy practices and pediatric rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and families.
Physiotheray – Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children with developmental delays, neurological disorders, or physical disabilities.
- Prior experience in a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy setting.
- Additional certifications or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training in pediatric physiotherapy (e.g., neurodevelopmental therapy, sensory integration, or related fields).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt treatment approaches to individual patient needs.
