Seeking a highly dedicated Special Education Specialist in Dubai to support young learners with diverse educational needs in a structured, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. This role focuses on providing individualized academic and developmental support to kindergarten-aged children, including those with learning difficulties, developmental delays, and special educational needs (SEN).

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in early childhood education, special education strategies, and inclusive teaching practices, with the ability to deliver both 1-on-1 online tutoring and in-person learning sessions. The role requires patience, creativity, adaptability, and a deep understanding of child development.

This position plays a key role in building foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction while ensuring every child receives personalized learning support tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

Individualized Teaching & Academic Support

  • Deliver personalized 1-on-1 tutoring sessions (online and in-person) for kindergarten learners.
  • Teach core early learning subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, phonics, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Use differentiated instruction strategies to meet the needs of students with learning differences and developmental challenges.
  • Design and implement structured intervention plans to support academic and developmental growth.

SEN Support & Developmental Growth

  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN) including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, speech delays, and developmental delays.
  • Apply inclusive teaching methodologies to ensure equal learning opportunities for all students.
  • Incorporate sensory-friendly learning techniques and early intervention strategies.
  • Strengthen fine motor skills, language development, communication abilities, and cognitive skills.

Lesson Planning & Learning Environment

  • Create engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to each child’s learning profile.
  • Develop a safe, supportive, and emotionally positive learning environment that encourages confidence and participation.
  • Use creative tools, visual aids, and hands-on learning activities to enhance engagement.

Behavior, Communication & Emotional Support

  • Promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and social interaction skills.
  • Help students build confidence, independence, and classroom readiness skills.
  • Identify learning barriers and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Support students in developing communication and interpersonal skills.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and document student progress in academic and developmental areas.
  • Collaborate closely with parents/guardians and the tutoring team to communicate learning goals and achievements.
  • Maintain detailed progress reports and learning records.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear and regular communication with families and team members.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and consistency in all sessions.
  • Follow safeguarding policies and maintain a child-safe learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or background in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred).
  • Mandatory previous school teaching experience.
  • Proven experience working with kindergarten or early primary students, especially those with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of child development and inclusive education practices.
  • Ability to teach multiple core subjects including early literacy and numeracy.
