The role involves delivering evidence-based physiotherapy treatments, conducting patient assessments, and supporting patients and caregivers through rehabilitation and recovery programs.

This position requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and compliance with DHA regulations and international physiotherapy practices.

Job Summary

The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring physiotherapy treatments for patients receiving care in home healthcare environments. The candidate will work closely with physicians, caregivers, healthcare teams, and patient support program managers to ensure effective rehabilitation and improved patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in physiotherapy rehabilitation, patient mobility improvement, pain management, and chronic disease physiotherapy care. The role also requires conducting home visits, maintaining patient documentation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and pharmacovigilance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Physiotherapy Assessment & Patient Care

  • Conduct detailed physiotherapy assessments for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiothoracic, and post-operative conditions.
  • Evaluate patients suffering from injuries, chronic diseases, surgeries, or physical disabilities in home care settings.
  • Diagnose movement dysfunctions and physical limitations affecting patient mobility and daily activities.
  • Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on physician recommendations and patient needs.
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy care to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, and overall physical function.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to rehabilitation goals and recovery outcomes.

Physiotherapy Treatment & Rehabilitation

  • Administer physiotherapy treatments including:
    • Therapeutic exercises
    • Stretching techniques
    • Manual therapy
    • Electrotherapy
    • Ultrasound therapy
    • Mobility training
    • Pain management therapies
  • Use physiotherapy equipment such as:
    • Heat packs
    • Ice packs
    • Ultrasound devices
    • Electrotherapy machines
    • Exercise and rehabilitation equipment
  • Support patients recovering from:
    • Orthopedic surgeries
    • Sports injuries
    • Neurological disorders
    • Chronic pain conditions
    • Mobility impairments
  • Educate patients on posture correction, exercise routines, and injury prevention techniques.
  • Provide physiotherapy consultations through telephone follow-ups when required.

Home Healthcare & Patient Support

  • Conduct home visits to deliver physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation services.
  • Build strong relationships with patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, trust, and effective communication.
  • Train family members and caregivers on physiotherapy exercises, mobility assistance, and patient support techniques.
  • Create a safe, comfortable, and motivating treatment environment for patients at home.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare professionals, and program coordinators to ensure continuity of patient care.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate physiotherapy records, patient progress notes, and treatment documentation.
  • Prepare monthly monitoring reports, patient statistics, and quality assurance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, physiotherapy standards, healthcare policies, and company SOPs.
  • Report adverse events, patient concerns, and product complaints according to pharmacovigilance guidelines.
  • Attend mandatory product training, pharmacovigilance training, and healthcare compliance sessions.
  • Maintain updated electronic patient files and healthcare records.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Support patient support programs through coordination with hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, and healthcare partners.
  • Assist program managers in ensuring smooth physiotherapy service delivery.
  • Follow company policies, healthcare regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the physiotherapy and healthcare programs.
  • Maintain professional conduct and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, or a related healthcare field.
  • Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter is mandatory.
  • 1–2 years of experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or home healthcare services.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Experience in direct patient care and physiotherapy treatment planning.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy equipment and rehabilitation technologies.
  • Understanding of chronic disease management and rehabilitation practices is an advantage.
