A leading food manufacturing company in Al Ain is seeking a Lab Technician -Food to support laboratory operations, product testing, and production quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in food laboratory analysis, beverage testing, quality inspection, and food safety compliance within a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, inspecting production processes, and ensuring all food products meet company specifications, regulatory standards, and customer quality expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare raw material, in-process, and finished product samples for laboratory analysis.
- Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological testing according to approved laboratory procedures and testing schedules.
- Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and storage of laboratory samples.
- Conduct regular production line inspections to verify compliance with quality control standards and food safety requirements.
- Monitor testing results and report any deviations from product specifications immediately to the Quality Assurance team.
- Evaluate returned, rejected, or damaged market products and maintain proper inspection records.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, cleaned, and maintained in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, test reports, and quality records for audit purposes.
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory efficiency and product quality enhancement.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of laboratory experience in food, beverage, or water manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of food quality control systems, laboratory analysis methods, and product testing procedures.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, GLP, and international food safety standards.
- Experience working with laboratory instruments and analytical testing equipment.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in water bottling or beverage manufacturing laboratories.
- Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations and municipality requirements.
- Experience supporting internal/external quality audits and compliance inspections.
