Arabic Speech Therapist wanted in Abu Dhabi, UAE with Rehabilitation Children’s Clinic . A speech therapist is responsible for providing individualized (1:1) speech and language therapy sessions tailored to each client’s needs. The role involves implementing treatment plans, tracking progress through data collection, and ensuring measurable outcomes aligned with client goals.
In addition to therapy delivery, the therapist conducts comprehensive assessments, develops customized treatment plans, and prepares detailed evaluation and progress reports. Active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential.
This is a clinical-focused role, requiring compliance with all DOH/DHA/MOH licensing regulations and adherence to organizational policies and healthcare standards in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Responsibilities -Arabic Speech Therapist
- Deliver structured speech therapy sessions to children and young adults.
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Monitor client progress through systematic data collection and analysis.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and progress documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ABA therapists and occupational therapists.
- Develop therapy materials and session plans as required.
- Train junior therapists and support internal training initiatives.
- Design and implement home programs for continued progress outside therapy sessions.
- Educate and guide parents on therapy techniques and child development.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
- Provide discharge summaries and final progress reports.
2. Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate effectively with departments such as ABA and Occupational Therapy (OT) for goal alignment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic data systems.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
- Respond to company communications and emails promptly.
- Upload and manage client data in compliance with health authority requirements.
- Stay updated with system changes and digital documentation tools.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of company-provided devices.
- Fulfill all requirements for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) certification.
- Maintain valid DOH/DHA/HAAD license and complete renewals on time.
- Achieve required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
3. Support & Operational Duties
- Assist in onboarding and training new therapists.
- Provide coverage for other therapists when required.
- Support clinical and operational projects assigned by the organization.
- Work additional hours when necessary to meet clinical demands.
4. Compliance, Safety & Ethics
- Adhere strictly to company policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
- Ensure therapy is conducted in a safe and risk-free environment.
- Report incidents, hazards, or ethical concerns immediately.
- Follow infection control measures, including hand hygiene and cleaning protocols.
- Comply with child protection, allergy management, and emergency procedures.
- Participate in fire safety and evacuation procedures when required.
5. Family & Client Interaction
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents and caregivers.
- Provide clear handovers before and after therapy sessions.
- Educate families on home-based therapy strategies.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy / Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid or eligible for DOH/DHA/HAAD license in the UAE.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a pediatric setting.
- Experience working with children with developmental or communication disorders.
