Food Safety Officer Restaurant will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving food safety management systems across central kitchen operations, catering services, B2B production, and restaurant outlets. The role requires hands-on experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, internal audits, regulatory inspections, and staff training within the UAE food industry.

Key Responsibilities

HACCP & Food Safety Management Food Safety Officer Restaurant

  • Implement and maintain HACCP systems across all locations.
  • Identify food safety hazards, evaluate risks, and ensure effective control measures.
  • Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and verify corrective actions.

ISO 22000 & Regulatory Compliance

  • Support and maintain compliance with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System (FSMS) or equivalent standards.
  • Ensure full adherence to UAE food safety regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements.
  • Prepare facilities for regulatory inspections and certification audits.
  • Conduct routine hygiene inspections and internal audits across outlets and production units.
  • Track non-conformities and manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Monitor sanitation procedures, pest control programs, and cleaning schedules.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate food safety records, temperature logs, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare detailed audit and compliance reports for management review.
  • Ensure traceability systems and supplier documentation are up to date.
  • Deliver food safety and hygiene training sessions to kitchen and service staff.
  • Promote awareness of GMP, personal hygiene, and safe food handling practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall food safety culture.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, procurement, and management teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Assist in reviewing SOPs and improving operational food safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or Food Safety.
  • HACCP Certification (Mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of ISO 22000 and food safety audit processes.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in restaurant chains, central kitchens, catering operations, or food manufacturing in the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of Dubai Municipality food safety guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong communication and team training skills.
