A reputed healthcare and diagnostic services provider in Sharjah, UAE is currently hiring Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join its growing medical team. This opportunity is ideal for laboratory professionals with strong expertise in clinical diagnostics, sample analysis, laboratory quality control, and patient safety procedures within a healthcare or medical center environment.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and patient treatment by performing routine and advanced laboratory testing while ensuring full compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, infection control policies, and laboratory safety standards.
Key Responsibilities for Medical Laboratory Technologist
- Perform routine, specialized, and diagnostic laboratory tests in accordance with standard laboratory procedures and healthcare protocols
- Collect, receive, label, prepare, and process patient specimens including blood, urine, and other biological samples
- Conduct hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and clinical pathology testing with high accuracy and precision
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory analyzers, instruments, and testing equipment
- Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with MOHAP, DHA, SHA, and international healthcare quality standards.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory quality control procedures to ensure reliable and accurate test results
- Record, analyze, verify, and report laboratory findings while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
- Follow laboratory safety standards, infection prevention measures, and biomedical waste disposal procedures
- Maintain laboratory documentation, test records, maintenance logs, and inventory reports accurately
- Assist physicians and healthcare professionals by providing timely laboratory test results for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Participate in internal audits, laboratory inspections, and continuous quality improvement programs
- Ensure proper storage and handling of laboratory reagents, chemicals, and medical supplies
- Adhere to hospital and medical center policies related to patient safety, hygiene, and laboratory ethics
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related healthcare field
- Valid SHA or MOHAP License/Eligibility Letter is mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in a hospital, diagnostic center, or healthcare facility
- UAE healthcare laboratory experience will be preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, clinical diagnostics, and medical laboratory equipment
- Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems, infection control, and healthcare compliance standards
- Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care and laboratory accuracy
