MLT- Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas including Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, and Clinical Pathology.
- Collect, process, analyze, and interpret laboratory specimens according to established procedures.
- Operate, monitor, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure accurate recording, validation, and reporting of test results to physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Follow laboratory quality control and quality assurance protocols to maintain testing accuracy and reliability.
- Adhere to infection control measures, laboratory safety standards, and UAE healthcare regulations.
- Maintain detailed laboratory records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating preventive maintenance activities.
- Participate in laboratory audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples and hazardous materials.
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant laboratory experience in the UAE healthcare sector.
- Valid DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) License is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures, testing methodologies, and laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with UAE healthcare standards, laboratory accreditation requirements, and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with automated laboratory analyzers and diagnostic systems.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and electronic medical record systems.
- Understanding of laboratory quality standards, CAP, ISO 15189, and related compliance requirements.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
