A leading manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its Quality Control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring that products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, regulatory standards, and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). The role requires close collaboration with production, engineering, supply chain, and HSE teams to maintain high-quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are looking to build a career in quality assurance, mechanical inspection, and manufacturing excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform incoming material inspections, in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
- Verify that manufactured products comply with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and other inspection equipment.
- Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and traceability documentation.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products using established quality procedures.
- Support investigations into quality issues and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure inspection activities comply with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ISO standards, and customer requirements.
- Verify calibration status of measuring instruments and inspection equipment before use.
- Participate in customer inspections, third-party inspections, and quality audits when required.
- Review manufacturing documentation and inspection plans before product release.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations at all times.
- Participate in toolbox talks, quality meetings, HSE programs, and internal audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready inspection area.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever safety or quality concerns are identified.
- Perform additional inspection and quality-related duties assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of Quality Control (QC) principles and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical blueprints.
- Familiarity with dimensional inspection methods.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Understanding of calibration procedures and equipment verification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify product defects and quality deviations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Knowledge of Hexagon ARM Laser Scanning and programming will be an added advantage.
- Previous exposure to Oil & Gas manufacturing environments is preferred but not mandatory.
Education Requirements
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering
