Hunter Foods is seeking an experienced HSE & Facilities Executive with 5+ years of experience to ensure workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and facility management. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about occupational health, environmental compliance, and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe working conditions, and areas requiring immediate corrective action.
- Recommend practical solutions to improve overall workplace safety. Perform comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) audits across production areas, warehouses, offices, and facilities to ensure full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out detailed risk assessments for equipment, processes, and work activities. Identify potential risks, evaluate their impact, and implement appropriate control measures to minimize workplace accidents and injuries. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety violations.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent future occurrences. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for building infrastructure, utilities, safety equipment, and facility assets.
- Work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely completion of maintenance work. Monitor contractor safety performance by ensuring all external vendors and contractors comply with company HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and site safety requirements before and during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with UAE occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies, ISO standards, and other applicable legal requirements. Stay updated with changes in HSE legislation and implement necessary compliance measures.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspection reports, risk assessments, incident records, audit findings, safety permits, training records, and compliance documentation for internal reviews and regulatory inspections. Organize and support employee safety training programs, toolbox talks, emergency response drills, fire evacuation exercises, and awareness campaigns to promote a strong workplace safety culture.
- Monitor workplace environmental performance by ensuring proper waste management, pollution prevention, energy conservation initiatives, and compliance with environmental sustainability practices. Inspect fire protection systems, emergency exits, first aid facilities, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other safety devices to ensure they remain operational and compliant with safety standards.
- Prepare periodic HSE performance reports, analyze safety trends and key performance indicators (KPIs), and present recommendations to management for continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Collaborate with department managers and employees to promote proactive safety practices, encourage hazard reporting, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in workplace health and safety.
- Assist management during internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections by providing the necessary HSE records, compliance documentation, and evidence of corrective actions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HSE or facility management experience.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or other recognized HSE certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
