Quality Officer vacnay to join a leading healthcare organisation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This role is ideal for professionals with experience in healthcare quality management, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Regional Quality Department, ensuring continuous improvement in clinical quality, patient safety, and healthcare standards aligned with regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management & Patient Safety
- Support the development and implementation of an integrated risk management framework aligned with organizational goals and healthcare regulations
- Monitor and improve patient safety outcomes, including:
- Incident reporting and management
- Sentinel event analysis
- Morbidity and mortality reviews
- Case reviews and safety alerts
- Track and analyze risk data (incidents, complaints, claims, KPIs) to:
- Identify trends and system gaps
- Develop statistical and analytical reports
- Escalate critical risks to leadership
- Assist in implementing risk reduction strategies across healthcare facilities
- Coordinate system-wide initiatives and taskforces for risk management improvement
- Recommend and support training programs, workshops, and quality improvement initiatives
Audit & Continuous Quality Improvement
- Support quality audits and compliance monitoring across departments
- Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) projects
- Assist in implementing performance improvement frameworks across the region
Policy Management
- Coordinate the development, review, and approval of healthcare policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities, accreditation standards, and certification programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders for timely policy updates
Quality Improvement Projects
- Facilitate and support region-level quality improvement initiatives
- Educate healthcare staff on quality frameworks and best practices
- Monitor project outcomes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
Patient Safety Culture
- Promote a strong patient safety culture across the organization
- Conduct safety culture surveys and analyze results
- Identify improvement areas and support action plan implementation
- Ensure effective communication of safety initiatives across departments
Accreditation & Certification
- Support readiness for external healthcare accreditation and certification programs
- Participate in:
- Tracer methodologies
- Onsite accreditation surveys
- Implement improvements based on survey findings
Regulatory Audits & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) Quality Audits and ranking frameworks
- Facilitate audits including:
- DOH audits
- ADPHC audits
- Licensing inspections
- ISO and JCI-related audits
- Conduct internal audits and identify corrective actions
Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain excellence awards and certifications
- Address assessment findings and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure ongoing compliance with organizational excellence frameworks
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Healthcare / Medical Sciences
- Quality Management
- Public Health or related field
- Master’s Degree in:
- Public Health (MPH)
- Health & Safety
- Risk Management
- Healthcare Quality or related discipline
- 1 to 7 years of experience in:
- Healthcare quality assurance
- Patient safety
- Clinical risk management
- Hospital or healthcare settings
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards and patient safety frameworks
- Experience with DOH regulations, accreditation standards (JCI/ISO)
- Analytical skills for data monitoring and reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and quality initiatives
