Job Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Perform routine and advanced diagnostic tests in the Core Laboratory, including hematology, biochemistry, and clinical pathology.
- Conduct sample preparation, processing, and analysis according to established laboratory procedures.
- Ensure all tests are performed with high accuracy, consistency, and adherence to medical standards.
2. Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Operate a variety of automated and semi-automated laboratory analyzers and instruments.
- Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Report technical faults and coordinate with maintenance teams or vendors for timely resolution.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Strictly follow laboratory quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and laboratory accreditation requirements.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and proficiency testing programs.
4. Sample Management & Reporting
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of patient samples to maintain integrity and traceability.
- Record, verify, and report test results accurately in laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Maintain confidentiality of patient data and medical records at all times.
5. Collaboration & Workflow Support
- Work closely with laboratory supervisors, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support smooth daily laboratory operations to meet turnaround time (TAT) and production targets.
- Assist in optimizing workflow efficiency within the laboratory environment.
