A leading Home healthcare is looking for a Physical Therapist for a full-time, on-site position in Al Ain, UAE. Physical Therapist will provide professional physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to patients in their homes, focusing on improving mobility, functional independence, physical strength, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and functional assessments to identify patients’ mobility limitations, physical impairments, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, patient condition, treatment goals, and evidence-based physical therapy practices.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, mobility training, stretching, strengthening, balance, coordination, and functional rehabilitation.
- Monitor patients’ progress regularly and modify treatment plans according to their response to therapy and changing clinical needs.
- Provide safe and effective rehabilitation services within patients’ home environments while considering individual limitations and available facilities.
- Educate patients and family members or caregivers on prescribed exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and home safety.
- Encourage patients to participate actively in their rehabilitation programs and promote independence in daily activities wherever clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment provided, patient progress, and follow-up recommendations.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals involved in the patient’s care.
- Identify changes in patients’ conditions and communicate relevant clinical concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, professional ethics, confidentiality, and home healthcare policies at all times.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment when working independently in different home environments.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients and families while providing culturally sensitive and compassionate care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy / Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid UAE professional license or eligibility to obtain the required UAE healthcare professional license.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy assessment, rehabilitation techniques, treatment planning, and evidence-based clinical practice.
- Good understanding of relevant medical and clinical concepts and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Previous experience in home healthcare, rehabilitation, hospital, clinic, or other clinical settings is highly preferred.
- Strong patient-care skills with the ability to deliver safe, respectful, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Good clinical documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational abilities, particularly when managing multiple home visits and patient schedules.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to different patient home environments, and make appropriate clinical decisions within professional scope of practice.
