Junior Chemist wanted at a leading medical care solutions Industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Chemists who are for fresh graduates and early-career professionals looking to build a successful career in chemistry, product development, laboratory analysis, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will support laboratory operations, product testing, research and development activities, technical documentation preparation, and compliance with UAE and GCC regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Quality Control (QC), Production, Regulatory Affairs, and Research & Development (R&D) teams to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

This role offers valuable hands-on experience in laboratory testing, chemical analysis, product formulation support, and preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS).

Job Responsibilities

Laboratory Testing and Chemical Analysis

  • Conduct routine laboratory testing and analytical procedures on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Perform chemical evaluations and sample analysis using approved laboratory methods and procedures.
  • Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately.
  • Assist in identifying product quality issues and support corrective actions.
  • Ensure testing activities are performed according to established quality standards and laboratory protocols.

Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Technical Documentation

  • Prepare, update, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in compliance with GHS (Globally Harmonized System) standards.
  • Develop and maintain Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for products and formulations.
  • Review product specifications and technical information for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support documentation control and record management activities.

Research and Development (R&D) Support

  • Assist in product formulation, product improvement, and research projects.
  • Participate in new product development initiatives and product enhancement activities.
  • Support product stability studies and shelf-life evaluations.
  • Conduct laboratory trials and report findings to senior chemists and management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the R&D department.

Regulatory Compliance and Product Registration

  • Support compliance with UAE and GCC chemical regulations and industry requirements.
  • Review product labels, packaging information, claims, and technical documents for regulatory accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining regulatory records and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in chemical safety regulations and industry standards.

Quality Assurance and Product Evaluation

  • Evaluate raw materials and verify supplier technical documentation.
  • Assist in product performance testing and validation activities.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories for efficacy testing, analytical testing, and performance evaluations.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and product quality investigations.

Laboratory Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, certificates, and testing documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports and summarize laboratory findings.
  • Ensure all records are organized, complete, and readily available for audits and inspections.
  • Support internal quality audits and compliance assessments.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

  • Follow laboratory safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and company policies at all times.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
  • Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 0–2 years of relevant laboratory, chemical, or quality-related experience.
  • Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of chemical testing methods and laboratory practices.
  • Knowledge of SDS/TDS preparation and GHS classification standards is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UAE and GCC chemical regulations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
