Key Responsibilities
Microbiological Testing & Analysis
- Perform Microbial Limit Testing (MLT) for non-sterile products, including:
- Raw Materials
- Packaging Materials
- Semi-Finished Products
- Conduct bioburden testing for pre-filtration samples.
- Perform routine water testing and support water system release activities.
- Carry out microbiological culture maintenance, sub-culturing, and Growth Promotion Testing (GPT).
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of microbiological test results.
Laboratory Operations & Documentation
- Maintain microbiology laboratory support activities and associated records.
- Enter and manage laboratory results through SAP systems.
- Monitor laboratory and equipment temperatures using Vaisala and SIRIUS monitoring systems.
- Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support microbiological qualification and validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity requirements.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records in accordance with GMP regulations.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Participate in internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Report deviations, Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Limit (OOL), and environmental excursions promptly.
- Support electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) activities through the Amplelogic platform.
- Ensure all assigned activities comply with pharmaceutical quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain online documentation and compliance records for all laboratory activities.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during laboratory operations.
- Contribute to Environmental Management System (EMS) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives.
- Support risk assessment, hazard identification, and continuous improvement programs.
- Participate in EHS audits and safety awareness activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in:
- Microbiology
- Biological Sciences
- Biotechnology
- Life Sciences or related disciplines
- 0–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.
- Fresh graduates with relevant academic laboratory exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory practices.
- Understanding of GMP, GLP, GDP, and Data Integrity principles.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical quality systems and laboratory documentation.
- Experience with SAP, eQMS systems, or laboratory software is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- MS PowerPoint
