Occupational Therapist (OT) wanted at a leading pediatric therapy team in Dubai. Occupational Therapsist – OT to work with children in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment, helping them achieve developmental, sensory, motor, and functional goals through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering engaging therapy sessions, and collaborating closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy and psychomotor assessments for pediatric clients.
- Evaluate developmental, sensory processing, motor, cognitive, social, and functional skills.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s specific needs and goals.
- Regularly review and update therapy programs based on client progress.
Therapy Intervention
- Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory integration, self-care abilities, and functional independence.
- Support children with developmental delays, sensory challenges, learning difficulties, and other pediatric conditions.
- Monitor therapy effectiveness and adjust interventions accordingly.
Family & School Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide guidance and practical strategies to families for implementing therapy goals at home.
- Liaise with schools and nurseries to support children in educational settings.
- Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings when required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records.
- Prepare assessment reports, progress reports, treatment summaries, and recommendations.
- Provide regular feedback and updates to parents regarding therapy progress and goals.
- Ensure documentation complies with DHA and organizational standards.
Professional Development
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in pediatric occupational therapy and psychomotor therapy.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
- Maintain compliance with DHA regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychomotor Therapy, or a related healthcare discipline.
- DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Psychomotor Therapist (PMT) is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in sensory integration, pediatric therapy, or developmental interventions are advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of pediatric occupational therapy or psychomotor therapy experience.
- Proven experience working with children across various developmental and therapeutic needs.
- Experience in Dubai schools, nurseries, therapy centers, or pediatric healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- Previous UAE experience is an advantage.
