Health Care Services in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join its rehabilitation and physical medicine department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, sports, and post-surgical conditions while delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
- Treat patients recovering from surgery, injuries, fractures, and orthopedic conditions.
- Provide rehabilitation for neurological disorders including stroke and spinal injuries.
- Manage musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, and mobility impairments.
- Perform manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, posture correction, injury prevention, and home rehabilitation programs.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, clinical records, and treatment reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise Physiotherapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides.
- Assist in training junior staff and support continuous professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and patient safety programs.
- Ensure physiotherapy equipment is properly maintained and report maintenance requirements.
- Identify workplace hazards and contribute to maintaining a safe clinical environment.
- Report adverse clinical events according to hospital policies.
- Comply with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and infection control protocols.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or Medical Director.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Physiotherapy or Physical Medicine.
- Valid professional registration in the home country.
- DOH License or Eligibility Letter is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation protocols and evidence-based physiotherapy practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Good documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
