Abu Dhabi University is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations in molecular biology, protein analysis, and tissue culture. The successful candidate will assist in laboratory experiments, media preparation, tissue culture maintenance, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain culture media, reagents, buffers, and laboratory solutions according to established protocols.
- Support molecular biology experiments, including sample preparation and laboratory procedures.
- Assist with protein analysis activities under the guidance of laboratory researchers.
- Perform tissue culture tasks, including media preparation, aseptic handling, and routine culture maintenance.
- Monitor tissue cultures and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering laboratory consumables.
- Support research projects and day-to-day laboratory operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Basic knowledge of molecular biology, protein analysis, and tissue culture techniques.
