A leading hospital in Sharjah, UAE is looking for an experienced Physiotherapist with inpatient experience to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex medical conditions while working closely with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists to deliver high-quality patient care.
The Physiotherapist will play a key role in assessing, planning, and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy treatment for hospitalized patients with acute, chronic, and complex conditions. The successful candidate will also supervise junior staff, coordinate inpatient rehabilitation services, and ensure patients receive individualized care that promotes recovery and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose movement dysfunctions using advanced clinical reasoning and assessment techniques.
- Provide physiotherapy treatment for inpatient cases using evidence-based rehabilitation methods.
- Manage a designated inpatient caseload efficiently according to clinical priorities.
- Coordinate patient care with Orthopedic, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Neurology, and Surgical teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds, case conferences, and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
- Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation goals and home exercise programs.
- Ensure safe and effective use of physiotherapy equipment.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Collect departmental statistics and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Comply with hospital policies, infection control procedures, and international accreditation standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training programs.
- Work flexible shifts as assigned by the Physiotherapy Department.
Required Qualifications – Physiotherapist
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physiotherapy.
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Valid Ministry of Health (MOH) Evaluation or eligibility for licensing.
