Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to evaluate patients’ physical conditions, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and medical history.
- Provide manual therapy techniques to reduce pain, improve joint mobility, and restore physical function.
- Administer therapeutic exercises to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and coordination.
- Utilize physiotherapy modalities such as electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, TENS, IFT, heat therapy, cold therapy, and hydrotherapy where appropriate.
- Assist patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, fractures, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
- Monitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation programs based on recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, posture correction, ergonomics, home exercise programs, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, treatment records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Work closely with physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, infection control protocols, and healthcare regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Higher qualifications or specialized certifications in physiotherapy or rehabilitation will be an advantage.
- Valid Physiotherapy License or eligibility to practice in the UAE (MOH, DHA, DOH, or equivalent, as applicable).
- Minimum 4–6 years of professional physiotherapy experience, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation center.
- Strong clinical assessment, rehabilitation planning, and patient management skills.
- Experience in orthopedic, neurological, post-operative, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Good documentation, reporting, and computer skills.
