An established Biotechnology Company in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Biotechnologist – Production Executive to join its Production Department in Dubai.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals with 2–5 years of production experience in the Food, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, or Manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), production planning, quality systems, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
As a Biotechnologist – Production Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production operations while maintaining the highest standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Production Operations
- Coordinate and supervise daily manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are achieved on time.
- Verify and review Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) before initiating production.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and production consumables before manufacturing begins.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with approved work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Guide and supervise production operators throughout manufacturing and packaging operations.
- Ensure finished goods are palletized, packed, and prepared according to shipping requirements and container specifications.
Documentation & Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Maintain accurate production documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Update and manage:
- Daily production logbooks
- Production records
- Raw material receipt logs
- Sample submission records
- Sample recipe documentation
- Document handover registers
- Shipment dispatch records
- Temperature monitoring records
- Laundry and boiler logbooks
- Ensure all production-related documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, GDP, HACCP, ISO standards, HSE policies, and company quality procedures.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Research & Development (R&D), Sales, and Warehouse teams to maintain smooth production operations.
- Submit production samples to the QC department along with the required Analytical Request Forms (ARF).
- Maintain backup and retention samples in designated storage locations.
- Support internal and external quality audits by preparing production records and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in audit readiness and ensure timely compliance with audit observations.
Raw Material & Warehouse Management
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of raw materials.
- Verify raw materials for:
- Weight accuracy
- Physical damage
- Manufacturing date
- Expiry date
- Batch/Lot number
- Quantity shortages
- Update raw material logbooks, inspection forms, and inventory sheets.
- Maintain proper labeling of raw materials, including revised expiry dates after QC approval.
- Coordinate the submission of near-expiry materials to QC for shelf-life evaluation.
- Manage warehouse activities including loading, unloading, and movement of raw materials.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of:
- Raw materials
- Packaging materials
- Production consumables
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted production by coordinating material replenishment.
- Assist in purchasing production consumables and maintaining inventory records.
- Manage production scrap according to company procedures.
Shipment & Dispatch Coordination
- Inspect finished goods before dispatch to ensure:
- Correct product labels
- Proper batch details
- Packaging integrity
- Product quality
- Capture photographs of vehicles, containers, and loading activities before shipment.
- Share shipment documentation and loading records with relevant stakeholders.
- Complete Finished Goods Inspection & Release Checklists (FGIRC) and obtain driver acknowledgments.
- Update shipment status and completed orders in production records.
Equipment & Preventive Maintenance
- Maintain preventive maintenance records for production equipment.
- Update sterilization records, pH monitoring files, calibration records, machinery maintenance logs, and temperature trend reports.
- Ensure forklifts, boilers, weighing scales, and other production equipment are serviced and calibrated according to maintenance schedules.
Documentation & Compliance Records
- Maintain updated records for:
- Certificates of Analysis (COA)
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Equipment service reports
- Training records
- Work instructions
- Calibration certificates
- Preventive maintenance documentation
- Ensure all manufacturing documents comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership & Safety
- Assign production tasks to operators and monitor work progress.
- Train and mentor production personnel on GMP, GDP, safety procedures, and production best practices.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Coordinate with various departments to improve production efficiency and operational performance.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in a Food Manufacturing, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, or Chemical Manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, HACCP, ISO standards, production documentation, batch manufacturing, and quality systems.
- Experience handling production documentation, inventory control, warehouse coordination, and shipment processes.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration records, and manufacturing compliance.
- Good communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production documentation systems.
