Junior Pharmacist wanted for a leading Healthcare products company in Dubai to join their pharmacy team and provide safe, professional, and customer-focused pharmaceutical services. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, dispensing medications, counseling customers on the appropriate use of medicines, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and ensuring compliance with applicable UAE healthcare and pharmacy regulations.
Junior Pharmacist should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, 1–2 years of experience as a registered pharmacist in the UAE, and a valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter. Strong English communication and customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer prescriptions carefully to verify accuracy, medication requirements, dosage, and suitability.
- Dispense and compound medications in accordance with valid prescriptions and established pharmacy procedures.
- Provide customers with clear information and professional advice regarding medication dosage, administration, potential side effects, drug interactions, precautions, and proper storage.
- Identify customer needs by asking appropriate questions and providing suitable pharmaceutical assistance.
- Ensure medications are prepared, labeled, stored, and supplied correctly and safely.
- Maintain compliance with Dubai pharmacy regulations, DHA requirements, and other applicable UAE healthcare regulations.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and prepare or submit required reports to relevant external authorities.
- Monitor pharmaceutical and medical supplies and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Place orders and coordinate the purchase of medicines, pharmaceutical products, and medical supplies as required.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, stock reconciliation, expiry monitoring, and near-expiry management.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines and pharmaceutical products according to applicable requirements.
- Liaise with insurance companies to process insurance claims and approvals efficiently and resolve billing or claim-related issues.
- Support daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, merchandising, stock replenishment, and expiry control.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure customers receive accurate and professional pharmaceutical guidance.
- Support pharmacy sales objectives through appropriate up-selling and cross-selling of pharmacy, healthcare, wellness, and other relevant product categories while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow all company policies, pharmacy procedures, health and safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Be flexible to work different shifts and at different locations as assigned by the Line Manager based on business requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Valid DHA Pharmacist License or DHA Eligibility Letter is mandatory.
- 1–2 years of experience as a registered pharmacist in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of prescription handling, medication dispensing, drug interactions, dosage, and medication storage.
- Good understanding of pharmacy operations, inventory control, and expiry management.
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused approach with excellent service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and at different assigned locations.
