HR Officer Intern

Retail and hospitality organization in Dubai is seeking an HR Intern (Human resource) to support day-to-day human resources administration, employee data management, HR documentation, and onboarding activities. The intern will work with HR systems, employee records, reporting processes, and administrative activities while gaining exposure to HR management systems, Human Resource Development, employee lifecycle management, and Human Capital Management (HCM) practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain employee information in HRIS and HR management systems, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and proper record keeping.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital employee records, including joining documents, HR forms, identification documents, and other personnel information.
  • Assist the HR team with employee data management and routine human resources administration across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support the preparation of HR reports by collecting, organizing, and analyzing employee information using Microsoft Excel.
  • Assist with the employee onboarding process, including preparation of new-hire documentation, employee files, and HR system entries.
  • Support HR personnel in maintaining accurate employee information within Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
  • Gain exposure to HR technology and enterprise platforms such as Oyster HR, Dynamics 365 HR, or similar HR and workforce management systems, where applicable.
  • Assist with maintaining HR databases and ensuring employee information is consistently updated across relevant human resource management systems.
  • Support documentation related to employee benefits, leave, attendance, and other HR administrative processes.
  • Assist with employee communication and routine HR coordination under the supervision of the HR team.
  • Provide administrative support for Human Resource Development (HRD) activities, including training coordination and employee development documentation.
  • Assist in organizing HR-related data that may support employee engagement, development, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) initiatives.
  • Handle confidential employee information responsibly and follow organizational policies relating to HR data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with other HR administration and human resources projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–1 year of HR or administrative experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, HR Operations, HR Management, or Human Capital Management.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel for data entry, data manipulation, reporting, and basic analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling employee information.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple HR administration tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive employee and HR information.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, HR management systems, Human Capital Management systems, or HR software is an advantage.
  • Exposure to platforms such as Oyster HR or Microsoft Dynamics 365 HR is an advantage but is not mandatory.
  • Candidates interested in professional HR qualifications such as CIPD Level 7 may find this internship useful for developing practical human resources experience; CIPD certification is not mandatory for this role.
