Dubai Restaurant Quality Controller in Dubai for a reputed Mandi restaurant specializing in authentic Arabic cuisine. This role is essential in maintaining food quality, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance across all restaurant operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, restaurant quality control, and HACCP implementation, ensuring that all food served meets the highest standards of safety, freshness, and consistency.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and control food quality standards across all stages, including preparation, cooking, storage, and serving.
- Perform regular hygiene inspections of kitchen areas, storage facilities, and food handling practices.
- Ensure proper monitoring of food temperatures, refrigeration systems, and storage conditions.
- Verify expiry dates, product labeling, and stock rotation procedures (FIFO/FEFO) to minimize food safety risks.
- Ensure strict adherence to Dubai Municipality regulations, HACCP principles, and food safety compliance standards.
- Identify and report quality deviations, contamination risks, and non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, and restaurant management to maintain consistent food quality and resolve issues quickly.
- Conduct on-the-job training for staff to improve awareness of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, audit records, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for municipality inspections and third-party audits.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Restaurant Quality Controller, Food Safety Officer, or QA/QC role within the food service or hospitality sector.
- Hands-on experience in Arabic or Mandi cuisine restaurants is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, and sanitation standards.
- Knowledge of Dubai Municipality food safety laws and inspection processes.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and quality-focused mindset.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple quality checks in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or Hospitality Management preferred.
