Licensed Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join Autism Speialist Clinic and Children Centre in Dubai, UAE. Speech Theraipst will be passionate about working with children of determination and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based communication therapy.
The SLT will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders, developing individualized intervention plans, and working closely with families and caregivers to improve communication outcomes and life participation.
Job Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for children of determination
- Utilize standardized and informal assessment tools based on individual child needs
- Collaborate with senior clinicians when required for complex cases
- Identify communication strengths, challenges, and developmental needs
Intervention Planning & Therapy Delivery
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment outcomes
- Design evidence-based intervention strategies to improve communication skills
- Implement structured therapy sessions tailored to each child’s goals
- Support children in improving expressive, receptive, and social communication abilities
Family & Caregiver Engagement
- Work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure therapy continuity at home
- Provide guidance, training, and strategies for communication development
- Promote family involvement in therapy planning and goal setting
Clinical Governance & Professional Development
- Actively participate in clinical supervision and case discussions
- Apply the latest research and evidence-based practices in therapy
- Continuously update clinical knowledge and skills
- Ensure high-quality documentation and progress reporting
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, occupational therapists, and special educators
- Contribute to integrated treatment planning and child development programs
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders
Speech Therapist – Qualiifations
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related field (Required)
- Master’s degree in Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology (Preferred advantage)
- DHA Licensed or DHA Eligibility Letter (Required)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech and Language Therapist in the UAE
- Experience working with children of determination and communication disorders
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical assessment and therapy planning skills
- Excellent communication in English (Arabic is an advantage for Arabic SLT roles)
- Passionate about working with children and developmental therapy
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and team-focused mindset
- Strong interpersonal and caregiver engagement skills
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) therapy
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) tools
- Knowledge of developmental speech and language frameworks
- Ability to work in a multicultural healthcare environment
