The successful candidates will be responsible for safe and accurate medication dispensing, prescription review, patient counseling, medication management, inventory control, and compliance with applicable UAE healthcare and pharmacy regulations.

Candidates with valid MOH, DHA, or SHA licensing/eligibility and relevant UAE pharmacy experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and other medication-related risks.
  • Review prescriptions carefully and provide appropriate recommendations regarding medication selection, dosage, administration, and duration based on patient-specific requirements.
  • Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and established pharmacy procedures.
  • Provide clear and professional medication counseling to patients, including dosage instructions, proper usage, potential side effects, precautions, and storage requirements.
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and communicate recommendations to healthcare professionals when treatment adjustments may be required.
  • Ensure all medication-related documentation and patient records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable MOH, DHA, SHA, and UAE pharmacy regulations, depending on the assigned emirate and facility.
  • Follow professional pharmacy standards, medication safety procedures, and internal healthcare policies.
  • Maintain appropriate pharmacy inventory levels and ensure medications are stored under required conditions.
  • Monitor medication expiry dates, batch information, storage conditions, and stock movement.
  • Support inventory audits and assist with identifying damaged, expired, or recalled medications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new medicines, treatment guidelines, drug safety information, and pharmacy practices.
  • Use pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR) accurately where applicable.
  • Respond professionally to patient questions and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, accuracy, and patient safety.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm) or Pharm.D from a recognized institution.
  • Relevant experience of 1–4 years in a clinical, hospital, retail, or community pharmacy environment.
  • UAE pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Candidates holding valid MOH, DHA, or SHA licenses/eligibility are encouraged to apply, subject to the requirements of the position and emirate.
  • Strong knowledge of prescription evaluation, medication management, drug interactions, dosage recommendations, and patient safety.
  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic indications, contraindications, precautions, and potential adverse effects.
  • Strong patient counseling and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of UAE pharmacy regulations and professional standards.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic health record systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medication and patient records.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, healthcare staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to professional ethics, medication safety, and quality patient care.
  • Candidates must meet the applicable UAE licensing and professional eligibility requirements.
