A leading hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist – Pediatrics to provide specialized physiotherapy care to pediatric patients aged 0–18 years, particularly those with complex respiratory and neuromuscular conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient pediatric physiotherapy services, respiratory management, clinical assessment, treatment planning, patient and family education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized physiotherapy management for pediatric inpatients and outpatients aged 0–18 years.
- Manage pediatric patients with respiratory conditions requiring physiotherapy intervention.
- Provide respiratory physiotherapy for patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), neuromuscular disorders, including Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), tracheostomies, long-term ventilation, non-invasive ventilation (NIV), and other respiratory diseases.
- Provide specialist physiotherapy services within respiratory clinics, including bronchiectasis and PCD clinics.
- Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and modify interventions according to clinical needs.
- Provide advice and support to patients, families, caregivers, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with Pediatric Pulmonologists, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) respiratory therapists, and the pediatric physiotherapy team.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior physiotherapists and relevant nursing staff.
- Provide cross-cover for wards, PICU, and NICU according to service requirements, including late shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Act as a specialist clinical resource for pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and complex respiratory conditions.
- Maintain effective communication and follow the appropriate chain of command when reporting patient incidents, complaints, or clinical concerns.
- Ensure physiotherapy equipment is safe, functional, properly maintained, and appropriately calibrated.
- Report faulty equipment to Biomedical Engineering and follow up on required repairs.
- Comply with clinical policies and procedures relating to patient safety, equipment safety, infection prevention, and infection control.
- Accurately report patient-care incidents and customer service concerns to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, projects, and service development activities.
- Maintain adequate availability, storage, and inventory of physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
- Conduct daily and monthly equipment and supply inventory checks.
- Monitor physiotherapy supplies, minimize losses and wastage, and report replacement, expiry, or shortage requirements to the relevant department.
- Serve as a clinical resource for patients, caregivers, junior physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, nurses, and other medical professionals.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, Physical Therapy, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of post-certification experience as a Junior Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist or in a relevant pediatric physiotherapy role.
- Experience in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and clinical experience in managing pediatric respiratory and neuromuscular conditions.
- Experience with tracheostomy care, long-term ventilation, NIV, and complex respiratory physiotherapy is an advantage.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, clinical quality, and professional standards.
- Relevant UAE healthcare licensing/eligibility is preferred or required as applicable.
