Job Summary

The Outpatient Physiotherapist (MSK) will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal disorders in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programs, support functional recovery, and promote long-term musculoskeletal health while collaborating with consultants, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.

This role requires strong clinical reasoning, manual therapy expertise, and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions using evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Develop customized rehabilitation and treatment programs based on patient assessments.
  • Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation protocols to optimize patient recovery.
  • Manage outpatient physiotherapy cases independently while maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with orthopedic consultants, physicians, general practitioners, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients on posture correction, injury prevention, ergonomics, and long-term musculoskeletal health.
  • Provide rehabilitation services for sports injuries and post-operative recovery when required.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to clinical outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation in compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous enhancement of physiotherapy services.
  • Stay updated with current physiotherapy research, evidence-based treatment methods, and continuing professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Physiotherapy License.
  • Professional certification in physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Additional certifications in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, dry needling, or musculoskeletal physiotherapy are considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy.
  • Proven experience treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Experience managing sports injuries and rehabilitation programs is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or specialist physiotherapy clinics is preferred.
