Key Responsibilities
As a Food Quality Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards throughout the production process.
Your responsibilities include:
- Monitor product quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
- Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
- Perform physical, chemical, and sensory quality checks according to established quality standards.
- Verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and food safety procedures.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) as per the HACCP plan.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and company quality management systems.
- Conduct production line inspections to identify quality deviations and potential food safety risks.
- Monitor sanitation, cleaning, and hygiene practices in production and storage areas.
- Verify cleaning schedules and sanitation records.
- Check production parameters including temperature, storage conditions, and processing records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of frozen products to maintain product integrity.
- Perform sampling of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate quality inspection reports and production records.
- Report product non-conformities and participate in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support investigations related to customer complaints and product quality issues.
- Coordinate with production teams to improve product consistency and reduce quality defects.
- Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and internal company standards.
- Assist during internal audits, supplier audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing food quality and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess one of the following educational qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.Tech) in Food Technology
- Food Science
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
- Dairy Technology
- Agriculture
- Food Engineering
- Applied Sciences
- Or another related discipline
Preferred Certifications
Candidates holding any of the following certifications will have an added advantage:
- HACCP Certification

Experience Required
- 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or Food Safety.
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Previous experience in frozen desserts, ice cream, dairy products, frozen foods, beverages, confectionery, bakery, or FMCG manufacturing will be highly preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong internship exposure in food quality may also be considered for junior-level positions depending on company requirements.
