This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional with strong expertise in food safety management, industrial catering compliance, and risk assessment to contribute to operational excellence across multiple sites.
Job Overview – Assistant HSE Manager in Dubai
The Assistant HSE Manager plays a critical role in ensuring full compliance with UAE food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and HSE Management Systems (HSEMS) across all Central Production Units (CPUs) and kitchen facilities.
This position requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional capable of conducting internal audits, leading corrective actions, coordinating with regulatory authorities and third-party laboratories, and maintaining high safety standards in large-scale catering operations.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant HSE Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting regular food hygiene and safety audits across CPUs, kitchens, and catering sites
- Identifying potential hazards, performing risk assessments, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Ensuring strict adherence to HACCP, HSEMS, and company food safety policies
- Coordinating with third-party laboratories for microbiological and chemical testing
- Reviewing lab reports and initiating corrective measures where required
- Maintaining comprehensive HSE documentation, audit reports, risk registers, and incident investigation records
- Investigating workplace incidents and recommending preventive strategies
- Advising senior management on high-risk issues and regulatory compliance matters
- Providing food safety and HSE training sessions to kitchen and site staff
- Ensuring continuous improvement in food safety culture and operational compliance
HSE Qualifications & Certifications
To be considered for this Assistant HSE Manager role in Dubai, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, Environmental Health, or related field
- Level 4 Food Safety Certification (Mandatory)
- Level 3 HACCP Certification (Mandatory)
- NEBOSH Certification (Preferred)
- ISO Awareness (ISO 22000 / ISO 45001 knowledge is advantageous)
- Minimum 6 years of experience as an HSE Officer or Assistant HSE Manager
- Proven experience in industrial catering, central kitchens, or large-scale food production operations
- Valid UAE Driving License
