Job Responsibilities

The Biotechnology Lab Assistant will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the preparation and setup of laboratory experiments for biotechnology and life science courses
• Supporting professors and researchers with ongoing academic and scientific projects
• Preparing chemicals, reagents, samples, and laboratory materials as per experiment requirements
• Ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of biological and chemical materials
• Monitoring laboratory equipment performance and coordinating maintenance when required
• Maintaining accurate laboratory documentation, records, and experiment logs
• Managing lab schedules to ensure organized and efficient utilization of facilities
• Overseeing laboratory inventory and coordinating procurement of supplies
• Ensuring strict compliance with laboratory safety regulations and university policies
• Performing routine laboratory procedures independently with minimal supervision

Candidate Requirements

To qualify for this Biotechnology Lab Assistant job in Dubai, applicants must have:

• A Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline
• At least two years of hands-on laboratory experience in a similar academic or research environment
